Fishing Sunglasses Designed Around the Reality of Life on the Water
Fishing rarely takes place under one constant light condition. Early starts, cloud cover, direct sunlight and reflections from open water can all occur during the same session. OUTDOOR addresses this variability with a lens that combines three distinct technologies: photochromic adaptation, polarization and a mirrored outer finish.
The photochromic range allows the lens to move between Category 2 and Category 4 as UV exposure changes. Polarization helps reduce distracting reflected glare from the water, while the wraparound frame geometry provides substantial coverage around the eyes. Together, these characteristics make OUTDOOR particularly relevant for anglers who spend long periods in environments where brightness and surface reflection can change considerably.
The model is intended for sport fishing in freshwater and saltwater and has a unisex fit. Its matt black frame is paired with an outer red mirrored lens, while the underlying lens tint changes from smoke Category 2 to smoke Category 4.
Photochromic + Polarized + Mirrored

Photochromic Cat. 2–4

Polarization helps reduce horizontally reflected glare, especially from water surfaces. For anglers, this can provide a more comfortable view of the water and reduce distracting reflections during prolonged use.
Red Mirror Finish
The external mirrored treatment contributes to managing intense incident light while giving the OUTDOOR model its distinctive technical appearance. The mirrored coating is separate from the polarization and photochromic functions.
Important:
when a lens reaches Category 4 darkness, it is intended for extremely bright conditions and
is not suitable for driving.
On the Water
Why Polarization Matters for Fishing
Water is a strongly reflective surface. Under bright conditions, reflected light can create glare that makes viewing the surface tiring and visually distracting.
The polarized filter in OUTDOOR is designed to reduce reflected glare, helping the wearer perceive the water with greater visual comfort. This is useful during extended fishing sessions, whether from the bank, shore or other fishing environments where surface reflections remain a constant factor.
Polarization should not be confused with UV protection: OUTDOOR combines the polarized filter with separate UV400 protection.
Changing Conditions
Category 2–4 Photochromic Range
The photochromic lens begins at a lighter smoke Category 2 state and can darken towards Category 4 as UV exposure increases. This makes it suitable for outdoor sessions where brightness can vary significantly.
Rather than changing between separate lenses as conditions intensify, the photochromic system automatically modifies lens darkness according to available UV radiation.
The product specification lists a Visible Light Transmission range of 6.54%–33.62%, corresponding to the lens's variable behaviour across its stated Category 2–4 range.
Frame & Fit
TR90 Frame and Wraparound Base 8 Geometry
The OUTDOOR frame is made from TR90 Ultralight, a material widely suited to sports eyewear because of its combination of low weight, flexibility and resistance to mechanical stress.
The Base 8 lens curvature creates a pronounced wraparound shape. In a fishing environment, this geometry provides greater lateral coverage than a flatter conventional eyewear shape and contributes to the secure, technical character of the model.
The complete configuration weighs 40 grams including the elastic cord and sweat sponge. The removable sweat sponge provides an additional contact barrier around the frame and can be removed when it is not required.
Lens Construction
Polycarbonate Lenses with UV400 Protection
OUTDOOR uses polycarbonate lenses, a material well suited to dynamic outdoor use because it combines relatively low weight with good impact resistance and greater resistance to fragmentation than more brittle lens materials.
UV400 protection is designed to filter ultraviolet radiation up to 400 nanometres, covering UVA and UVB wavelengths. This UV protection works independently from the lens's polarization function.
The combination of UV protection, polarization and photochromic adaptation gives OUTDOOR a lens configuration developed specifically for demanding outdoor light rather than for purely casual use.
