SOFT FOAM FOR MOUNTAIN GLASSES AND SNOW GOGGLES
Soft foam is a technical element that directly affects comfort and protection: it improves the fit, increases the feeling of stability on the face, and helps manage sweat, air, and cold during the most demanding phases.
There are 2 clearly distinct product types in the DEMON collection that use soft foam:
- Mountain Glasses
- Ski and Snowboard Goggles
Sweat-Blocking Foam for Mountain Glasses:
The hypoallergenic high-density foam for mountain glasses. A must-have for mountaineers, as it performs several functions:
- Sweat Protection: Prevents sweat drops from coming into contact with the eyes during phases of intense effort.
- Protection from air and particles: Prevents air or any particles (e.g. dust) from coming into contact with the eyes.
- Light Protection: Prevents side light rays from reaching the eyes and interfering with proper vision.
The sweat-blocking foam is removable whenever desired and is used by the mountaineer according to their needs. It has also been included in some models in the collection simply as sweat protection.
It can therefore also be used in running and trail running as extra protection for the eyes.
In high-altitude activities and outdoor sports, lateral exposure to wind and light is common: the sweat-blocking foam creates a more “controlled” barrier around the face, keeping the eyes better protected and vision more consistent when fatigue and sweating increase.
Soft Foam for Ski and Snowboard Goggles:
All Snow Goggles for Skiing and Snowboarding in the collection are equipped with soft high-density foam. It is a very soft and comfortable hypoallergenic material to the touch. It can remain in contact with the face even during very prolonged use without causing any kind of skin irritation.
The shaping of the soft foam, in addition to being very comfortable and significantly improving the fit of the snow goggles, prevents sweat drops from coming into contact with the eyes during phases of intense effort. It offers excellent protection from air and cold.
Here the foam plays an even more important role: in addition to comfort, it helps create a better “seal” between the face and the goggles, improving the feeling of stability and making protection more effective during long descents and on cold or windy days.
OTG Version: dedicated shaping
The models in the Snow Goggles collection called OTG are created with a special foam shaping that allows space for your prescription frame.
