It is a hypoallergenic composition and can be used in extreme conditions, even for very prolonged use, without causing skin irritation. The special feature of TR90 is its exceptional flexibility and resistance to accidental impacts and mechanical stress (e.g. twisting during lens replacement). It is also 20% lighter than frames made with conventional materials. Generally, a frame made with this special composition weighs between 20 and 45 grams depending on the thickness of the frame.
