OUTDOOR is designed for mountaineering, hiking and ski touring in demanding bright-light environments. Its Category 4 polarized mirrored lenses combine strong light shielding with glare reduction, while the wraparound Base 8 design, removable sweat sponge and elastic retaining cord support coverage, stability and comfort during mountain use. A lightweight TR90 frame completes a technical configuration developed for high-altitude terrain, snow and intense sunlight.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Technical Mountain Eyewear for Intense Sunlight
In mountain environments, sunlight can become particularly demanding when altitude, open terrain and reflective surfaces such as snow and ice combine. OUTDOOR is built around this specific requirement, using Category 4 polarized lenses for conditions where substantially darker filtration is appropriate.
The frame follows a strongly curved Base 8 geometry, creating a close, wraparound profile. Together with the removable facial sponge and retaining cord, this construction is designed to provide a more controlled fit during outdoor movement and greater coverage around the eyes.
OUTDOOR is intended for mountaineering, hiking and ski touring, with a configuration particularly suited to high-altitude routes, snow-covered terrain and other outdoor situations involving very strong sunlight.
LENS TECHNOLOGY
Category 4 Polarized Mirrored Lenses
The lens is the defining technical element of OUTDOOR. Its Category 4 filter is designed for extremely bright light conditions and provides stronger light shielding than lower-category sun lenses. The product has a stated Visible Light Transmission of 5.79%, making it particularly suited to environments where solar intensity is very high.
Category 4 Protection
Intended for very strong sunlight and demanding mountain environments, including areas with intense reflections from snow and ice.
Polarized Filter
Polarization helps reduce reflected glare, supporting clearer and more comfortable vision when bright light reflects from surfaces such as snow and other reflective terrain.
Silver Mirror Finish
The outer silver mirror finish complements the dark Category 4 lens while contributing to the technical appearance of the eyewear.
Important: Category 4 lenses are not suitable for driving.
UV & LENS CONSTRUCTION
UV400 Protection and Polycarbonate Lenses
OUTDOOR provides UV400 protection, designed to filter ultraviolet radiation up to 400 nm and therefore covering UVA and UVB wavelengths. This is particularly relevant during extended outdoor exposure in open mountain environments.
The lenses are made from polycarbonate, a material widely suited to sports eyewear because it combines low weight with good impact resistance and greater resistance to fragmentation than more brittle lens materials. This makes it appropriate for dynamic outdoor activities where eyewear may be exposed to movement, equipment and changing terrain.
Wraparound TR90 Frame with Additional Stability
TR90 Ultralight Frame
The frame is made from TR90 Ultralight, selected for its combination of low weight, flexibility and resistance to mechanical stress. These characteristics help provide a comfortable frame for prolonged outdoor activity.
Base 8 Wraparound Geometry
The strongly curved Base 8 lens geometry creates the enveloping shape typical of technical sports eyewear, increasing lateral coverage around the eye area.
