For those who love hiking in high mountains, protecting your eyes is of paramount importance and cannot be overlooked. The intense glare in high-altitude zones poses a significant risk that must be countered with appropriate lenses to ensure complete safety and enjoyment during your excursions. Using unsuitable lenses can lead to discomfort, such as a foreign body sensation or excessive tearing. For maximum protection and performance, DEMON has developed a line of mountain glasses featuring 2-4 photochromic lenses that adapt to varying atmospheric and climatic conditions, ensuring optimal visibility.

PHOTOCHROMIC LENSES 2-4 FOR MAXIMUM EYE PROTECTION:

Photochromic lenses 2-4 are specialized lenses that begin with a light smoke tint and can reach category 4 during maximum activation. They provide adequate visibility in both strong shade and low light conditions. When exposed to UV radiation, these lenses undergo a reversible chemical reaction that darkens the lens surface up to category 4 as needed. Once UV exposure diminishes, the lenses gradually return to their original state.

DESIGNED FOR MOUNTAINEERING AND HIKING:

These photochromic lenses are specifically designed for mountainous environments where UV radiation and light intensity are heightened. They dynamically adjust to changes in light, ensuring optimal vision whether you’re in a shaded area or on an open slope. The lenses start with a light smoke tint, eliminating the need to remove them in low-light conditions, and transition smoothly to category 2 to reduce glare when exiting shaded zones. They achieve category 4 during maximum activation based on UV and light intensity, ensuring adequate protection without excessively darkening your vision. These lenses meet category 4 standards for extreme expeditions, such as Everest and K2, providing dynamic light adaptation.

FRAME AND ACCESSORIES:

TR90 Frame: The mountain eyewear frames are constructed from TR90, a special compound of nylon and carbon fiber. This material is hypoallergenic, lightweight (20% lighter than conventional materials), and exceptionally elastic, making it resistant to impacts and strains. It molds to the wearer’s face, retaining its shape and comfort even in extreme conditions.

Non-Slip Rubberized Parts: Made from soft Megol, these hypoallergenic rubberized components ensure the glasses stay securely on the face, preventing slippage even during intense activities.

Sweat Sponge: The high-density hypoallergenic sweat sponge prevents sweat, air, and light from reaching the eyes, enhancing comfort and protection during strenuous activities. It is removable for convenience.

Elastic Cord: Included with the EIGER model, the removable elastic band promotes stability and comfort, keeping the glasses secure during challenging conditions while protecting the eyes from wind, cold, dust, and debris encountered on the journey.
