The lower section of each lens incorporates a bifocal magnification area, while the main viewing area remains dedicated to normal distance vision. Smoke Category 3 polycarbonate lenses with a blue mirrored outer finish make this version particularly suited to bright outdoor conditions, while the lightweight TR90 sports frame, adjustable nose pad and wraparound Base 8 geometry provide the coverage and stability required during active use.

Distance Vision and Close-Range Reading in One Sports Lens
During cycling or running, checking a small display can become difficult for athletes who need additional near-vision magnification. TIGER SUN READING addresses this specific requirement by integrating a reading segment into the lower area of the sports lens.
When looking ahead, the wearer uses the main portion of the lens normally. When information on a GPS, cycling computer or similar display needs to be checked, the eyes can be lowered towards the bifocal section. This creates a practical solution for sport without turning the entire lens into a magnifying lens.
The wide wraparound design also provides the coverage expected from technical sports glasses, helping shield the eye area from airflow and airborne debris encountered during cycling, mountain biking, running and trail running.
Three Reading Powers for Different Near-Vision Requirements
TIGER SUN READING is available with three bifocal magnification powers. The selected power applies to the dedicated reading area positioned in the lower section of the lens, allowing the wearer to glance down towards close-range instruments when required.
This configuration is particularly useful for sports in which the athlete alternates between looking ahead and checking compact digital information such as speed, distance, heart rate, navigation or training data.

Blue Mirror Category 3 Lens for Bright Conditions
This TIGER SUN READING version uses a smoke Category 3 lens with a blue mirrored outer coating. Category 3 lenses are intended for strong daylight and are therefore well suited to outdoor sport in bright conditions.
The smoke base helps manage intense visible light, while the mirrored outer finish contributes to reducing the amount of light reaching the lens surface and gives the model its distinctive blue appearance.
The lens is made from polycarbonate, a material widely used in sports eyewear because it combines low weight with good impact resistance and a lower tendency to fragment than more brittle lens materials.
UV400 Protection for Outdoor Sport
TIGER SUN READING lenses provide UV400 protection. UV400 lenses are designed to filter ultraviolet radiation up to 400 nm, covering both UVA and UVB wavelengths. This makes the glasses suitable for prolonged outdoor use in the sports for which the model is designed.
