The new GRAVEL model is equipped with Photochromic DCHROM® lenses Category 0–3, a significant upgrade over previous mirrored photochromic lenses Category 1–3. This new-generation lens starts from completely transparent, ensuring perfectly clear vision in low-light situations, and progressively darkens up to Category 3 when exposed to intense sunlight. This expanded photochromic range allows runners to rely on one pair of glasses from early morning starts to bright midday sessions and even late evening or night runs.

What truly distinguishes this lens technology is its ability to deliver maximum visibility in critical and low-light conditions. Starting from full transparency, the lens is ideal for cloudy weather, shaded trails, dense forests, fog, rain, or runs that extend beyond sunset. As light intensity increases, the lens adapts smoothly and automatically, reducing glare and eye strain while maintaining natural contrast and depth perception. The transition is fast and progressive, ensuring visual stability even during sudden changes in lighting, such as moving between open roads and shaded sections or encountering artificial street lighting.

For trail running, GRAVEL offers outstanding protection and reliability. The wide single-lens design shields the eyes from wind, dust, insects, branches, and debris commonly encountered on technical trails. Despite its generous coverage, the glasses remain extremely lightweight, weighing just 30 grams, allowing runners to focus entirely on performance without discomfort. The frame is constructed from ultra-light TR90, a high-performance blend of carbon fiber and nylon that ensures durability, flexibility, and long-term comfort. The elastic structure adapts naturally to the shape of the head, delivering a secure and stable fit without pressure points, even during high-intensity efforts. Hypoallergenic rubberized components improve grip and comfort, ensuring the glasses remain perfectly positioned throughout the run.

An additional functional detail is the detachable lower rim, which allows the frame to be configured in a closed or open design.
