ROUBAIX is designed for runners who need dependable eye coverage while moving through changing light conditions. Its wide single-lens design combines an athletic wraparound shape with a DCHROM® mirrored photochromic lens that automatically darkens as exposure to sunlight and UV radiation increases. Starting from a lightly tinted appearance and reaching Category 3 at maximum darkening, the lens makes ROUBAIX particularly versatile for road running, trail running, cross country, track sessions and triathlon.
Despite its generous coverage, ROUBAIX weighs only 30 grams. The lightweight TR90 frame is designed to remain comfortable and stable during movement, while the broad lens helps protect the eye area from air, dust, insects and debris encountered during outdoor running.

Running outdoors rarely means dealing with one constant level of light. Woodland sections, exposed roads, changing weather and the transition towards sunset can all alter visibility during the same session. ROUBAIX addresses this with a photochromic lens that changes its tint according to UV exposure rather than requiring the runner to switch between different lenses.
The lens begins from a lightly tinted appearance that remains suitable for lower-light situations and progressively darkens as conditions become brighter. At its maximum stated activation it reaches Category 3, supporting visual comfort in stronger sunlight while retaining the versatility expected from photochromic sports sunglasses.
Its wide shield-style shape also provides substantial coverage around the eye area. For trail runners, that means a useful physical barrier against leaves, small branches, insects, dirt and other airborne debris. On the road, the same design helps shield the eyes from airflow, dust and insects while maintaining the distinctive aerodynamic appearance of modern performance eyewear.

DCHROM® Mirrored Photochromic Lens
The DCHROM® lens is the defining feature of ROUBAIX. Photochromic technology reacts to sunlight and UV exposure through a reversible process that changes the level of lens darkening. When exposure increases, the lens becomes darker; when the intensity of UV radiation decreases, it gradually returns towards its lighter state.
This behaviour is particularly useful for running routes where lighting can change repeatedly. A trail may alternate between shaded woodland and exposed sections, while a road run can begin in softer light and continue into stronger sunshine. Instead of relying on one fixed tint, the lens adapts to those variations.
The DCHROM® lens has a lightly tinted starting appearance and reaches Category 3 under maximum stated exposure. The external mirrored finish gives ROUBAIX its distinctive technical aesthetic, while the view through the lens remains smoke-toned from the inside.
