DEMON created the 832 model for running enthusiasts who engage in road running, trail running, and other related disciplines requiring eye protection. These technical running glasses feature a minimal design, weighing just 21 grams, and are equipped with DCHROM® photochromic lenses. This allows athletes to focus solely on performance, as the lenses automatically adapt to changing light conditions, providing exceptional stability and comfort. Originally designed as sports glasses, the 832 model’s versatile technical features make them suitable for all running disciplines, ensuring lightweight comfort for any activity requiring eye protection.

FOR WHICH DISCIPLINES IS IT RECOMMENDED?

Road Running: The 832 DCHROM® model is highly regarded for road running due to its lightweight design, comfort, and wind protection. Equipped with DCHROM® photochromic lenses that adapt to various light conditions along your route, the enveloping shape enhances stability on your face, allowing you to fully concentrate on training or competition. Optimal ventilation prevents fogging, even during the slowest climbs.

Trail Running: The 832 model is perfect for trail running! The photochromic lenses darken and lighten based on direct sunlight, ensuring maximum protection against harmful UV rays. The shatterproof lenses safeguard against accidental impacts without breaking. The lenses start with a slightly veiled tint, making them ideal for dense forest areas and late returns after sunset.

Cross Country: For both cross-country and road running, the lightness and stability of the glasses are crucial. They provide excellent protection from insects, dust, and mud, allowing athletes to focus entirely on performance.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS AND USE:

The new DCHROM® photochromic lenses react to UV radiation or sunlight by darkening, then gradually returning to their original transparency once the light exposure diminishes. Made from high-quality polycarbonate, these lenses significantly reduce weight compared to conventional materials and ensure safety during impacts, as they do not produce harmful fragments. These technical filters also protect against UV rays, offering both protection and comfort. The DCHROM® lenses represent an evolution in photochromic technology, starting from a slightly darker base than other photochromic lenses and reaching category 3 in their maximum working phase. Along with their rapid light-dark transition, they provide significant relaxation for your eyes, even on days with intense sunlight.

The frame is constructed from TR90, a special blend of carbon fiber and nylon. This material makes the running and trail running glasses 20% lighter than traditional materials and more resistant to impacts and mechanical stress. The total weight of 21 grams combines the TR90 frame and high-quality polycarbonate lenses. The minimal design reduces weight and minimizes surface contact with the face, enhancing comfort. The nose pads are made from soft, hypoallergenic rubber, and a high-grip material is integrated into the temples to prevent micro-movements during sudden actions, vibrations, or jumps. Every detail is meticulously crafted by DEMON to deliver maximum technical performance in running glasses. Nothing is left to chance; each element is the result of extensive studies and planning.
