ROUBAIX Prescription Sports Glasses with DCHROM® Photochromic Lens
ROUBAIX is prescription sports eyewear designed for cycling, running and outdoor activities where movement, changing light and prolonged use demand a versatile optical solution. Its DCHROM® Category 0–3 photochromic lens changes from fully clear to smoke according to UV exposure, allowing the same pair of glasses to cover very different light conditions. A wide wraparound shield provides extensive front and side coverage, while the internal optical clip allows prescription correction to be integrated without sacrificing the protective geometry of the sports frame.

Prescription Sports Glasses Built for Movement and Changing Light
Outdoor conditions rarely remain constant throughout a ride, run or hike. A route may begin under cloud cover, pass through wooded or shaded sections and later open into strong sunlight. ROUBAIX is designed specifically for this type of environment, combining a wide-range photochromic lens with a strongly wraparound sports geometry.
The broad front and lateral coverage helps limit direct exposure to airflow, dust, insects and small debris during dynamic activities such as cycling, mountain biking, running and trail running.
Its shield-style profile also provides a wide, visually continuous field of view, while the internal optical clip makes it possible to use prescription correction within a technical sports eyewear configuration.
DCHROM® Photochromic Lens – Category 0 to 3
The technical core of ROUBAIX is its DCHROM® photochromic lens, with a range from Category 0 to Category 3. With limited UV exposure, the lens remains clear. As UV exposure increases, it progressively darkens towards a smoke tint.
This adaptive behaviour makes it possible to use the same sports glasses across very different lighting environments without manually replacing the lens during the activity.
Low Light
At dawn, dusk, under heavy cloud or in shaded environments, the lens remains clear or lightly activated to preserve available light and environmental detail.
Light & Shade
On routes with repeated transitions between exposed and shaded sections, the photochromic lens progressively adjusts its level of darkness according to UV exposure.
Bright Sunlight
With increased UV exposure, the lens darkens towards Category 3 smoke, providing a level of filtration suited to brighter outdoor conditions.

Polycarbonate Lens with UV400 Protection
ROUBAIX uses a polycarbonate sports lens. Polycarbonate combines low weight with good resistance to impact and fragmentation, characteristics that make it particularly suitable for dynamic outdoor activities.
The lens also provides UV400 protection, designed to filter ultraviolet radiation up to 400 nm and therefore covering UVA and UVB wavelengths.
UV protection remains an important feature independently of how dark the photochromic lens appears at a particular moment.

Road Cycling
The wraparound profile helps shield the eyes from airflow, dust and insects while the DCHROM® lens adapts to changes in light along the route. This makes ROUBAIX particularly suitable for long-distance rides, climbs and training sessions with variable exposure.
Mountain Bike
On trails and unpaved terrain, the wide shield provides useful coverage against dust, earth, leaves, insects and small debris. When moving from wooded sections into open terrain, the photochromic lens progressively adapts its level of darkness.
Gravel, Cyclocross & Touring
Mixed surfaces, long hours in motion, wind, vibration and changing light make these disciplines particularly well suited to ROUBAIX. The combination of a 0–3 lens and wraparound geometry creates a versatile solution for varied routes.
Running & Road Running
The wide front coverage helps reduce direct exposure to wind and airborne particles, while the low 30 g weight supports comfort during longer training sessions. The clear end of the 0–3 range is particularly useful for early-morning and low-light runs.
Trail Running
Trails frequently alternate between woodland, shade, open terrain and exposed sections. DCHROM® progressively adjusts to these changes, while the wraparound profile helps provide additional protection against elements encountered on the trail.

Internal Optical Clip for Prescription Lenses
Prescription correction integrated into sports eyewear
ROUBAIX uses an internal TR90 optical clip positioned behind the main sports shield. Prescription lenses are fitted into this dedicated insert, allowing the wearer to maintain optical correction while retaining the protection and wraparound shape of the external sports lens.
The optical insert has a relatively generous lens area and supports single-vision, bifocal and progressive lenses within the recommended prescription parameters.
Prescription lenses must be produced by an optician according to the individual prescription and required optical treatments.

TR90 Ultra-Light Frame
The frame is made from TR90, a technical material valued in sports eyewear for its combination of low weight, flexibility and resistance to the mechanical stresses associated with active use.
Adjustable Nose Pad
The adjustable nose pad allows the position and contact of the eyewear on the nose to be fine-tuned. This helps adapt the fit to the wearer and can improve stability during movement and perspiration.
Megol Grip Areas
