LIEGI Polarized Sport Fishing Sunglasses
Technical wraparound sunglasses with a DPOL® G15 green Category 3 polarized lens, developed for sport fishing in freshwater and saltwater environments.
LIEGI Polarized combines glare-reducing polarized optics with a lightweight TR90 Ultralight frame, adjustable nose pad and adjustable temples. Its strongly curved Base 8 geometry provides the wraparound profile required for exposed environments around rivers, lakes, coastlines and open water, while the 28-gram construction is designed to remain comfortable during long fishing sessions.

The LIEGI uses a green G15 DPOL® polarized lens to help reduce these reflected highlights and provide a calmer, more readable view of the water. Depending on water clarity, angle of light and surface conditions, reducing reflections can also make details beneath the surface easier to distinguish.

DPOL® G15 polarized Category 3 lens
The lens is the central technical element of LIEGI Polarized. Its polarizing filter is designed to reduce intense reflected glare from horizontal surfaces such as water. For anglers, this can improve visual comfort and help make the surface easier to interpret, particularly when sunlight creates distracting reflections.
The G15 green base tint delivers a natural-looking visual balance suited to bright outdoor use, while the verified Category 3 classification makes the lens appropriate for strong sunlight conditions. The outside of the lens features a silver flash finish.

Why polarization matters when fishing
Reflections are one of the main visual challenges when looking across rivers, lakes and the sea. A polarized fishing lens is designed to filter a significant part of this reflected light, allowing the eye to concentrate more easily on the scene itself rather than on distracting surface glare.
Under suitable conditions, this can make it easier to identify useful visual references such as:
- changes in the texture and movement of the water;
- rocks, vegetation and submerged structures that are visible through the surface;
- variations in the bottom where water clarity permits;
- fish or movement beneath the surface when environmental conditions make them visible.
Actual visibility below the water depends on factors including depth, clarity, light direction, weather and surface movement. Polarization does not remove every reflection, but it can make demanding high-glare conditions significantly more comfortable to observe.
One lens concept for rivers, lakes and sea fishing
Freshwater fishing
On rivers and lakes, surface reflections can obscure details around rocks, vegetation, shallow areas and changes in the bottom. The polarized G15 lens helps reduce reflected glare, supporting a clearer and more relaxed view of the fishing environment.
Saltwater fishing
Coastal areas and open water can expose the eyes to intense sunlight and extensive reflective surfaces. LIEGI combines Category 3 filtration, polarization and UV400 protection for use in these bright environments.
UV400 protection for exposed outdoor environments
LIEGI provides UV400 protection, designed to filter ultraviolet radiation up to 400 nm and therefore covering UVA and UVB wavelengths.
This is particularly relevant for sport fishing, where anglers may spend extended periods in open environments with direct sunlight and additional reflected light from the water. UV protection and polarization perform different functions: UV400 addresses ultraviolet radiation, while polarization is designed to reduce reflected visible glare.

LIEGI is compatible with an optical clip for prescription lenses, allowing anglers who require vision correction to use a dedicated prescription insert together with the sports eyewear.
Optical clip compatibility does not mean that the prescription insert is included with the standard sunglasses unless specifically selected or supplied separately.
