In freshwater environments, this can help when observing areas around rocks, vegetation and uneven riverbeds. At sea, the same glare-reducing effect is useful when scanning the surface and looking towards submerged structures in bright conditions. Polarization does not remove every reflection, but it can significantly reduce the horizontal glare that commonly interferes with vision on water.

Base 8 Wraparound Shape for Greater Peripheral Coverage
GRAVEL uses a Base 8 lens geometry, a strongly curved configuration typically associated with highly wraparound sports eyewear. The shape follows the face more closely than flatter everyday sunglasses and provides broad lateral coverage.
For fishing, this wraparound construction helps shield the eye area from lateral sunlight, wind, spray and airborne particles. The large single-lens appearance also creates the distinctive mask-style profile of the GRAVEL model.
The lower rim is removable, allowing the appearance of the frame to be changed from a fuller framed configuration to a more open lower section. An additional white rim is also supplied for visual customisation.
