Product description
Single Lens Glasses with Mirrored Photochromic Lens DCHROM® for Hiking
GRAVEL is the new photochromic mirrored single-lens eyewear from DEMON, specifically designed for hiking. These glasses cater to hikers who seek both functional photochromic lenses and a striking aesthetic. They are suitable for all light conditions, weather scenarios, and seasons, thanks to the latest generation of photochromic lenses that darken in response to light.

The unique feature of this special lens is its starting color—a very light tint—that allows hikers to use GRAVEL in low-light conditions or simply for protection from the elements after sunset.
As shown in the photo, the lens is suitable for all lighting conditions, particularly critical low-light scenarios (such as very cloudy or rainy weather and returning from outings after sunset), as well as in bright sunlight.
Types of Sports:
Hiking and Trekking: GRAVEL is the ideal eyewear for hiking, suitable for everyone from amateurs to experienced guides. The wide frame provides maximum protection in forested areas against leaves, branches, dirt, insects, and other debris. Despite their size, the glasses weigh only 30 grams. The advanced DCHROM® mirrored lens features a slightly veiled starting color and reaches Category 3 at maximum darkening, reflecting a purplish-red tone. It adapts to variations in light, ensuring durability and impact resistance for optimal safety.

Ski Mountaineering: GRAVEL is also excellent for ski mountaineering. The wide shape provides optimal protection for the athlete's eyes against air, dust, insects, and other hazards. The lens adapts to changes in light, darkening and lightening accordingly, making it suitable for very bright conditions and extended use. The glasses offer exceptional comfort with an ultra-light, elastic frame and hypoallergenic rubberized components. Once you experience their performance, you won't want to be without them.
Regardless of the discipline, GRAVEL combines the functionality of a photochromic lens with the aesthetics of a mirrored lens, delivering strong visual appeal and advanced lens technology.
IMPORTANT: The mirror color does not alter external vision in any way, as the lens is smoke-colored on the inside.

Technical Characteristics and Materials:
The new DCHROM® photochromic lenses react to UV radiation by darkening and return to their original transparency once the light diminishes. Made from high-quality polycarbonate, these lenses are significantly lighter than conventional materials and enhance safety by not fragmenting upon impact. These technical filters also provide UV protection, ensuring both comfort and safety.
The new DCHROM® lenses represent an evolution in photochromic technology, starting with a lightly veiled color and reaching Category 3 at maximum darkening. They offer remarkable light-to-dark adaptation speed and provide a notable sense of relaxation for your eyes, even on days with strong solar irradiation and prolonged use.
The ultra-light TR90 frame, crafted from a special composition of carbon fiber and nylon, ensures maximum protection and safety. Despite the frame's size, the overall weight of the GRAVEL hiking glasses is only 30 grams. The elastic frame adapts to the shape of your head, providing maximum comfort and stability without causing tightness.
The lower part of the frame (RIM) is removable, allowing you to change the look of the glasses from a “closed” to an “open” frame. An additional white RIM is included to customize the color combination of the GRAVEL glasses as desired.

GRAVEL is a must-have for those seeking ultralight, photochromic mirrored glasses for hiking and trekking across various terrains.
This material makes the DCHROM® mirrored photochromic glasses 20% lighter than conventional materials, more resistant to accidental impacts and strains, and more durable over time.
