FIANDRE – Prescription Sports Glasses with DCHROM® Category 0–3 Photochromic Lens
Photochromic prescription sports glasses designed for road cycling, mountain biking, running, trail running, mountain activities and hiking, with an included internal optical clip for corrective lenses.
FIANDRE combines the coverage of wraparound sports eyewear with the practicality of an internal prescription insert. Its DCHROM® Category 0–3 photochromic lens changes from transparent to smoke as light conditions vary, while the lightweight TR90 Ultralight frame and adjustable nose pad are designed to support a stable, comfortable fit during active use. At just 30 g, FIANDRE is developed for athletes who need vision correction without giving up the wide coverage and dynamic fit of technical sports eyewear.

Prescription Sports Glasses Built for Changing Light
FIANDRE is designed for sports in which light conditions can change repeatedly during the same session. The Category 0–3 photochromic range allows the lens to remain transparent in low-light conditions and progressively darken towards a smoke Category 3 tint as UV exposure increases.
This makes the model particularly useful on routes that alternate between exposed sections and shade, such as road cycling, mountain biking, trail running and hiking. Instead of changing lenses manually, the DCHROM® lens adapts automatically as the surrounding light changes.
The highly curved Base 8 lens geometry gives FIANDRE the wraparound profile expected from technical sports eyewear, while the internal optical clip allows corrective lenses to be positioned behind the main sports lens.
DCHROM® Photochromic Lens: Category 0–3
The DCHROM® lens reacts to changing UV exposure by adjusting its tint. At its lightest, it is transparent Category 0; as UV exposure increases, it progressively darkens until it reaches a smoke Category 3 tint.
This broad photochromic range is particularly practical when training begins in low light, continues through changing weather, or passes repeatedly between shaded and exposed areas. The lens automatically changes its level of darkness without requiring a manual lens replacement.
Low light and shade
The transparent end of the Category 0–3 range maintains a high level of available light when conditions are dim or heavily shaded.
Bright outdoor conditions
With increasing UV exposure, the lens darkens progressively towards Category 3 smoke, helping provide greater visual comfort in stronger sunlight.
UV400 Protection for Outdoor Sport
FIANDRE provides UV400 protection, designed to filter ultraviolet radiation up to 400 nm and therefore cover both UVA and UVB wavelengths.
For cyclists, runners and hikers spending extended periods outdoors, this protection works alongside the photochromic lens to provide a solution designed for changing daylight conditions.
Internal Optical Clip for Corrective Lenses
FIANDRE includes a dedicated optical prescription clip positioned inside the sports eyewear. Corrective lenses can be fitted to this insert, allowing the wearer to use their prescription while retaining the external DCHROM® sports lens and the wraparound geometry of the main frame.
The optical clip also supports bifocal and progressive lenses. Final optical feasibility should always be evaluated according to the individual prescription and lens configuration.

The FIANDRE frame is made from TR90 Ultralight, a technical frame material valued for its low weight, flexibility and resistance to the mechanical stresses associated with active use.
