The design of ALASKA takes inspiration from the historic eyewear associated with alpine exploration: rounded lenses, a strong frame profile and protective side elements create an unmistakable retro mountain aesthetic. The result, however, is designed for present-day use rather than nostalgia alone.
The frame surrounds the eye area with generous coverage, while the lateral shields help limit light entering from the sides. This becomes particularly useful on exposed trails and in environments where sunlight may be reflected by pale rock, gravel, water or residual snow.
The combination of Category 3 polarized lenses, side protection and a stable frame makes ALASKA particularly suited to long hiking and trekking days where light can remain intense for several hours.
