The new edition of the Jekyll enduro bullet is quirky and promising. The new rear part in particular is very robust and aesthetically impactful. The shock absorber is now positioned deep in the so-called double-spar down tube and should ensure the bike's center of gravity is as low as possible. A point of articulation high should guarantee a deflected movement backwards optimal. The so-called new "guidler" guides the chain at the high fulcrum point and should eliminate pedal kickback and ensure smooth feel of "soft" pedaling.
Modern geometry on the Jekyll
But that's not all, the suspension travel of 165 mm should also be optimally adapted to each size of the chassis so that every driver can use the kinematics perfectly. The geometry of the new Jekyll is also adapted to the respective driver size. In other words, the rear triangle "grows" proportionally to the front part of the frame. An L size frame therefore has a rear section of 442 mm in length with a reach of 475 mm. On the size XL frame, the stay length is even 450 mm, with a reach of 510 mm. The size M frame is much more compact and offers a 435mm rear stay with a 450mm reach.
Watch the trends: on the new Cannondale Jekyll, the seat angle is steep at 77,5° and the head angle is nice and flat at 64°. And: 29 inches front and rear, a 38 fork with 170 mm travel and a full carbon frame are now standard in this segment. For the moment there will be no version in aluminum.
Prices from 3499 euros to 6499 euros
When you look at the price, the new Cannondale is surprisingly attractive. The top model Jekyll 1 costs 6.499 euros. In exchange, the enduro rider gets a high-quality Fox frame with a factory 38 fork and a factory X2 shock. Carbon wheels are not included in the price, the Americans also carefully mix the gears to create an attractive package. Almost cheap by Cannondale standards is the Jekyll 2 for 4599 euros, which is equipped with a fork Rock Shox Zeb Select and a Fox DPX2 shock. The frame kit with painting specialand is 3499 euros.
