The frame is made from TR90 Ultralight, a material widely used in sports eyewear for its combination of low weight, flexibility and resistance to the mechanical stresses that can occur during active use.
At 18 grams, OPTO 3 keeps the structure light on the face, an important consideration during longer training sessions or activities where conventional optical frames can feel unnecessarily heavy.

OPTO 3 is supplied as an optical frame intended to receive prescription lenses. The most suitable lens tint and treatment depend on where and when the glasses will be used. Your optician can combine the required prescription with an appropriate ophthalmic lens solution.
Tennis
Photochromic prescription lenses can be considered when use may alternate between indoor, evening and outdoor conditions.
Mountain Biking
A photochromic lens with a light or clear starting tint can be useful where the route repeatedly moves between brighter and shaded sections.
Road Cycling
In consistently bright conditions, a darker sun lens such as a Category 3 filter may be appropriate, subject to the final ophthalmic lens specification.
Running & Trail Running
Photochromic prescription lenses may be useful when running across changing light conditions or at different times of day.
Important: OPTO 3 does not determine the final optical properties of the prescription lenses. Prescription range, lens material, tint, treatments and suitability for a specific sport should be evaluated with a qualified optician according to the individual prescription and intended use.
