TIME Sports Glasses for Children Aged 6–11
TIME sports glasses for children are designed for young users aged 6 to 11 who need lightweight, comfortable eyewear for outdoor and sporting activities. The model combines a flexible TR90 frame with Category 3 smoke mirrored polycarbonate lenses, UV400 protection and a compact Base 6 geometry developed specifically for a child's fit.
Soft, flexible frame construction and rubberised contact areas help make the glasses comfortable and stable during movement, while the mirrored smoke lenses are suited to bright light conditions. The result is a practical children's sports eyewear design that combines everyday comfort with the technical features required for active outdoor use.
Category 3
Smoke mirrored lenses designed for bright light conditions.
UV400
Protection designed to filter ultraviolet radiation across UVA and UVB wavelengths.
TR90 Frame
Lightweight and flexible material suited to active use.
Ages 6–11
Compact fit specifically intended for children.
Built for Young Athletes and Outdoor Adventures
Child-Specific Sports Fit
TIME has been developed around the proportions of younger users rather than simply reducing the dimensions of an adult sports frame. With a frame width of 125 mm, a height of 38 mm and 110 mm temples, it provides a compact geometry for children aged 6–11.
Its sporty shape is suitable for active outdoor use, helping young users wear protective sunglasses comfortably while moving, playing and exploring.
Flexible TR90 Construction
The frame is made from TR90, a lightweight and flexible material widely used in sports eyewear. Its elasticity helps the frame adapt comfortably during everyday movement while offering useful resistance to the mechanical stresses typically associated with active use.
Rubberised areas on the inside of the temple tips improve contact and grip, helping the glasses remain more stable during activity.
Category 3 Smoke Mirrored Lenses
TIME is equipped with Category 3 smoke mirrored lenses, a filter category intended for bright outdoor light. The smoke base helps manage high levels of visible light while maintaining a neutral visual perception suitable for general outdoor use.
The external mirrored finish adds a reflective surface treatment to the lens and gives the glasses their distinctive sporty appearance. The mirror coating should not be confused with polarization: the TIME specification confirms a mirrored Category 3 lens, not a polarized filter.
- Bright-light protection Category 3 filtering is designed for sunny outdoor conditions where greater light reduction is useful.
- Polycarbonate construction The lenses use polycarbonate, a lightweight material with good resistance to impact and fragmentation compared with more brittle lens materials.
- Sport-oriented design The lens and compact frame geometry work together to provide practical coverage for active young users.
UV400 Protection for Outdoor Use
The TIME lenses provide UV400 protection. UV400 filters are designed to block ultraviolet radiation up to 400 nm, covering UVA and UVB wavelengths. This makes the model suitable for children spending time outdoors in sunny conditions, whether during sport or everyday activities.
Lightweight, Flexible and Designed to Stay Comfortable
TR90 Ultralight Frame
TR90 combines low weight with flexibility, two useful characteristics for children's sports eyewear. The material allows the frame to flex under normal use while maintaining a comfortable feel on the face.
The complete eyewear weighs approximately 22 grams, helping reduce unnecessary pressure during prolonged wear.
Rubberised Temple Grip
Rubberised sections on the inner temple tips increase friction where the frame contacts the head. This contributes to a more secure fit during movement without requiring an excessively rigid frame.
Base 6 Sports Lens
TIME uses a Base 6 lens curvature. This gives the eyewear a sporty curved profile while remaining less strongly wrapped than the geometry typically associated with higher-base performance sunglasses. The result is a practical balance between coverage, compact proportions and everyday comfort for younger users.
