Designed for athletes who move between different outdoor environments, the DEMON 832 combines a 21-gram TR90 frame with DCHROM® Category 1–3 photochromic lenses. The lenses adapt automatically as UV exposure changes, while the lightweight, minimalist frame is designed to remain comfortable during active use. Lightweight sports glasses designed for movement
The 832 is built around a simple principle: sports eyewear should protect the eyes without becoming a distraction. Its reduced frame structure keeps facial contact to a minimum, while the wraparound Base 8 lens geometry creates the curved profile typically associated with technical sports eyewear.
At just 21 grams, the model is particularly suited to activities where glasses may be worn for extended periods. Soft rubber contact areas around the nose and high-grip sections at the temples are designed to improve stability during movement, vibrations and rapid changes of direction.
The result is a compact multisport design that combines lightweight construction, coverage and adaptive lenses in a format developed for outdoor athletes.
DCHROM® Category 1–3 photochromic lenses
DCHROM® photochromic technology is designed to respond automatically to variations in UV exposure. When UV radiation increases, the lenses become darker; when exposure decreases, they return towards their lighter state.
The Category 1–3 range makes the 832 particularly relevant for outdoor activities where light conditions may change during the same session—for example when moving between open areas and shaded sections of a route.
Instead of requiring the athlete to change lenses manually as conditions vary, the photochromic response allows the same eyewear to adapt progressively to the surrounding environment.
The lenses are made from polycarbonate, a material widely used in technical sports eyewear because it combines low weight with good resistance to impact and fragmentation.
Protection
UV400 protection for outdoor sport
The 832 lenses provide UV400 protection, designed to filter ultraviolet radiation up to 400 nm and therefore cover UVA and UVB wavelengths.
This protection works together with the DCHROM® photochromic system: UV protection remains a fundamental lens characteristic, while the photochromic technology manages the visible-light response by becoming lighter or darker according to UV exposure.
