TIGER SUN READING is designed for athletes who need both outdoor eye protection and practical near-vision support during sport. The main viewing area works like conventional sports sunglasses, while a discreet bifocal segment positioned in the lower part of the lens provides additional magnification when you look down at a GPS device, cycle computer, heart-rate monitor or similar display. The smoke mirrored Category 3 lens, lightweight TR90 frame and highly curved Base 8 geometry make this model particularly well suited to cycling, mountain biking, running and trail running in bright outdoor conditions.

Reading a small screen while riding or running can become difficult when near vision is no longer as effortless as it once was. TIGER SUN READING addresses this specific need by integrating a magnified bifocal area directly into the lower portion of the sports lens.
Looking straight ahead, the wearer uses the broad main lens area for normal distance vision. When information on a handlebar-mounted GPS, cycle computer, sports watch or another nearby display needs to be checked, the eyes can move downward toward the bifocal segment.
This layout allows the reading area to remain available only when required, without occupying the entire field of view. The concept is particularly practical for athletes who want dedicated bifocal sports glasses rather than conventional reading glasses that are not designed for active outdoor use.

The appropriate power depends on the user's near-vision requirement. The magnification applies to the lower reading segment rather than the full main lens area.
Smoke mirrored Category 3 bifocal lens
TIGER SUN READING uses a smoke Category 3 lens with a red mirrored outer finish. Category 3 lenses are intended for bright outdoor light and are commonly used in sports sunglasses where effective reduction of visible brightness is required.
The mirrored treatment adds a reflective outer surface to the lens, complementing the smoke tint and giving the model its distinctive technical appearance. Mirroring and bifocal magnification perform separate functions: the mirror finish relates to the sunglass lens surface, while the lower magnified segment is dedicated to near viewing.
The lens is made from polycarbonate, a material widely used in sports eyewear because it combines low weight with good impact resistance and greater resistance to fragmentation than more brittle lens materials.
