Sports Optical Frame Designed for Prescription Lenses
Wearing prescription lenses during sport can require a different frame design from the one normally used for everyday eyewear. OPTO 1 has been developed as a dedicated prescription sports frame, combining a compact wraparound-inspired shape with components that can be adjusted to improve fit and stability during physical activity.
The frame uses a Base 4 lens geometry. Compared with more strongly curved sports eyewear, this moderate curvature is well suited to the installation of ophthalmic lenses while retaining a sporty profile. Final lens suitability and prescription configuration should always be assessed by the optician producing the lenses.
The result is a multisport optical frame intended for users who prefer prescription eyewear instead of contact lenses during training or competition.
Fit & Construction
Adjustable Details for Stability During Sport
OPTO 1 combines several fit-oriented elements intended to help the frame remain comfortable and controlled during movement. Rather than relying only on frame pressure, the wearer can fine-tune key contact points and use the supplied retaining cord when additional security is required.

Choosing Prescription Lenses for Different Sports
Changing Light Conditions
Photochromic prescription lenses may be considered for sports in which light levels change frequently. The lens reacts to UV exposure by becoming darker outdoors and lighter again as UV exposure decreases.
