GRAVEL combines the wide coverage of mask-style sports eyewear with Category 3 polarized lenses and an internal Base 6 optical clip for prescription correction. Designed specifically for freshwater and saltwater sport fishing, it helps reduce glare reflected from the water while providing the visual correction required by anglers who normally wear prescription lenses. Its lightweight TR90 construction, adjustable nose pad and wraparound Base 8 outer lens create a technical setup suited to long sessions on rivers, lakes, lagoons and at sea.

Prescription Fishing Glasses Built Around Water, Glare and Movement
Fishing places very specific demands on eyewear. Reflections from rivers, lakes and the sea can make the surface visually tiring, especially during long sessions in strong daylight. GRAVEL uses a polarized outer lens to help control this reflected glare and improve visual comfort while looking across the water.
The large mask-style lens also provides broad coverage around the eyes, while the internal optical clip allows prescription lenses to sit behind the sports lens. This separates the prescription correction from the strongly curved outer lens and provides a practical solution for anglers who need vision correction without giving up a technical wraparound sports frame.
Less Reflected Glare, Greater Visual Comfort on the Water
The Category 3 polarized lens is designed for bright light conditions. Polarization helps reduce horizontally reflected glare, a particularly useful characteristic around water where sunlight can create intense reflections on the surface.
By reducing these distracting reflections, the lens can make it easier to observe the water and surrounding environment with greater visual comfort. The effect is particularly useful during prolonged fishing sessions, when constant glare can otherwise make the visual experience more demanding.
Polarization should not be confused with UV protection. GRAVEL separately provides UV400 protection, designed to filter ultraviolet radiation up to 400 nm, covering UVA and UVB wavelengths.

In rivers and lakes, polarized lenses help reduce surface reflections that can interfere with observation of the water. Depending on water clarity, depth, lighting and surface conditions, this can make underwater features easier to perceive.
At sea and in lagoons, the same polarization principle helps manage reflected sunlight across open water. This makes GRAVEL suitable for anglers fishing from the shore, a boat or other situations where glare from the water is a constant factor.
The Category 3 lens is intended for bright conditions, making this version of GRAVEL particularly suited to daytime fishing when sunlight and surface reflections are strong.
Base 6 Optical Clip for Prescription Lenses
GRAVEL includes an internal Base 6 optical clip positioned behind the sports lens. Prescription lenses are fitted directly into this insert, allowing the outer Base 8 polarized lens to retain its wraparound sports geometry.

Optical clip lens geometry
The optical clip also supports bifocal and progressive lens solutions. The final feasibility of any prescription should always be confirmed by the optician who will produce the lenses, taking into account the complete prescription and the selected lens design.
For prescriptions outside the recommended optical-clip range, a different prescription solution may be more appropriate than forcing the correction into the clip.
Optical Insert
A Compact Prescription Solution Inside a Sport Frame
The optical clip measures 45 mm in lens width and 40 mm in lens height. Its Base 6 geometry is less curved than the external Base 8 shield, making it suitable for mounting prescription lenses while maintaining the wide coverage of the outer sports lens.
Because the optical correction and the protective sports lens remain separate, replacing the outer lens does not require changing the prescription lenses fitted to the clip.

TR90 Frame
TR90 combines low weight and flexibility with resistance to the mechanical stresses associated with active use. The complete GRAVEL setup weighs approximately 30 grams.
Adjustable Nose Pad
The adjustable nose pad allows the contact point around the nose to be fine-tuned, helping improve fit and stability during movement.
Base 8 Outer Lens
The strongly curved Base 8 lens geometry creates the wraparound mask-style profile characteristic of GRAVEL sports eyewear.
Polycarbonate Lens
Polycarbonate offers low weight and good impact resistance, with greater resistance to fragmentation than more brittle lens materials, making it well suited to dynamic outdoor use.
