Its Smoke Category 4 mirrored lenses are combined with a lightweight TR90 frame, wraparound geometry and removable side shields to reduce peripheral light exposure and provide greater coverage in exposed conditions. At just 22 grams, ALTAVIA combines technical protection with a lightweight feel for long days in the mountains.

At altitude, the eyes are exposed not only to direct sunlight but also to strong reflected light from surfaces such as snow and ice. ALTAVIA addresses these conditions through a combination of Category 4 lenses, wraparound coverage and removable side shields.
The frame follows the face closely to reduce unwanted light entering from the sides, while the lateral shields extend coverage around the peripheral area. They can also be removed when this additional level of side protection is not required.

Category 4 lenses for intense high-altitude light
ALTAVIA uses Smoke Category 4 mirrored lenses, developed for environments where sunlight and reflected light can become particularly intense. Category 4 lenses provide stronger visible-light shielding than lower lens categories and are especially appropriate for high mountains, snow-covered terrain and glacier environments.
The smoke tint helps maintain comfortable vision in very bright conditions, while the silver mirror finish adds a reflective external surface suited to the technical character of the model.
