VISUAL SUN READING is a pair of bifocal sports glasses designed for cyclists, runners and trail runners who need to read a cycle computer, GPS, heart-rate monitor or other close-range information without giving up the wide visual coverage of wraparound sports eyewear. The lower section of the lens incorporates the reading power, while the main viewing area remains dedicated to distance vision. A smoke Category 2 multilayer mirrored lens, lightweight TR90 frame and adjustable nose pad complete a design created for active use in medium and variable light conditions.

Distance Vision and Near Reading in One Sports Lens
During cycling or running, checking small information on a handlebar-mounted computer, GPS or sports device can be inconvenient when near vision is no longer sufficiently clear. VISUAL SUN READING addresses this specific requirement with an integrated bifocal reading area positioned in the lower part of the lens.
Looking ahead uses the main distance-vision portion of the lens as on conventional sports eyewear. When the eyes are lowered towards a device or other close-range detail, the bifocal segment provides the additional reading power. This makes the model particularly relevant for athletes who do not require a full prescription sports lens but need assistance specifically for near vision.
Wide Sports Coverage
The Base 8 lens geometry creates the strongly curved profile commonly used in wraparound sports eyewear. This design provides extensive frontal and lateral coverage while maintaining the sporty character of the VISUAL platform.
Integrated Reading Segment
The bifocal section is positioned low in the lens so that it becomes useful when the gaze is directed downwards towards instruments or close-range information, without occupying the main forward viewing area.
Smoke Category 2 Multilayer Mirrored Lens
VISUAL SUN READING uses a smoke Category 2 lens with a red multilayer mirrored outer finish. Category 2 is intended for medium levels of sunlight, making this configuration useful when conditions are bright but less intense than those typically associated with darker Category 3 sports lenses. It can therefore be particularly suitable for variable weather, cloudy-bright conditions and training sessions performed when sunlight is less intense.
The mirrored surface adds a reflective outer finish while preserving the underlying smoke lens. Mirroring and bifocal correction perform separate functions: the mirrored coating contributes to the external lens treatment, while the lower bifocal area provides the near-vision assistance.
Polycarbonate Lens
The lens is made from polycarbonate, a lightweight material with good resistance to impact and fragmentation, characteristics that make it well suited to dynamic sports eyewear.
UV400 Protection
UV400 protection is designed to filter ultraviolet radiation up to 400 nm, covering UVA and UVB wavelengths during outdoor use.

Bifocal Cycling Glasses for Reading a Cycle Computer or GPS
For road cycling and mountain biking, the key advantage of VISUAL SUN READING is the ability to combine a wide sports lens with a dedicated near-vision area. Riders can maintain their normal forward view and lower their gaze when they need to read speed, distance, navigation data or other information displayed on a cycle computer.
The wraparound Base 8 geometry also provides useful coverage against airflow, dust and small airborne debris encountered while riding. On mountain bike routes, the broad lens additionally creates a useful barrier against dust, insects and vegetation, while the lightweight frame helps minimise unnecessary load during longer sessions.
Bifocal Sports Glasses for Running and Trail Running
VISUAL SUN READING is also designed for runners who need occasional access to near-range information during training. The bifocal area can assist when checking a GPS device, heart-rate monitor or other small display, while the upper area remains dedicated to normal distance viewing.
For trail running, the broad lens profile provides useful coverage from wind, dust and vegetation. On the road, the same wraparound construction helps shield the eyes from airflow and airborne particles. The adjustable nose pad and lightweight frame are particularly useful when maintaining a stable, comfortable fit throughout repetitive movement.

The integrated bifocal reading segment is available in two powers: +1.50 and +2.00. The additional power is located in the lower portion of the lens and is intended specifically for near-range reading tasks during sport.
VISUAL SUN READING is therefore different from a fully prescription sports lens: its distinctive purpose is to provide a predefined near-reading addition while retaining the normal main viewing area of the sports lens.
