In fact, in the event of an accidental impact, the polycarbonate lens distributes the shock across its entire surface, preventing the creation of small fragments that could damage the eye, but instead forming a spiderweb effect that renders the lens unusable. It is no coincidence that polycarbonate remains the safest material on the market for manufacturing sports eyewear lenses.

» DCHROM: starts from Category 1 and darkens up to Category 3. The lens starts with a light smoke tint and can be used for every outdoor sport.
Compared to the smoke photochromic lens, the DCHROM lens is not suitable for night rides because the light tint may appear dark in weak artificial lighting.


DCHROM is designed for true outdoor use: when the session is long and light remains intense for hours, the lens aims to maintain comfort and visual relaxation, working progressively up to Category 3.

» SMOKE 2-4: starts from Category 2 and reaches Category 4 at maximum performance. It is important to consider that Category 4 is generally reached in high mountain areas with very strong sunlight and very intense UV radiation.
This particular photochromic lens is created for mountaineering and hiking, but it can also be used as a normal lens at lower altitudes by people who are particularly sensitive to light, because in very strong sunlight it is able to exceed the standard darkness of sunglasses.
