DOUBLE LENSES

DOUBLE LENSES FOR SKI AND SNOWBOARD SNOW GOGGLES

Double lenses are a special technology used for ski and snowboard goggles. They resemble a "sandwich" made of two lenses: an external lens, which can be tinted smoke, orange, light blue, pink, or transparent depending on the model, and an internal lens of smaller thickness that is completely transparent. These lenses are bonded together with a special spongy plastic material.

The function of this technology is similar to that of double-glazed windows, effectively separating the cold external temperature from the warmth inside, preventing fogging on the internal surface.

The inner surface of the internal lens is treated with an anti-fog coating to combat fogging even more efficiently. Some models also have ventilated areas on the lens for better airflow, usually positioned in the lower part of the frame.

Both lenses are made from shatterproof polycarbonate, ensuring maximum safety in sports and work environments where accidental impacts may occur. In case of a strong impact, the lens does not produce harmful fragments but distributes the shock across the entire surface, forming a spider-web effect that invalidates the lens.

In addition to safety, polycarbonate is very lightweight, flexible, and resistant to both high and low temperatures without deforming.
